CL-909
TR-909 Replica - and so much more...
DESCRIPTION
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know, I know, drum machine?!? - BORING!
Well, if you don\'t like it, go home...
I started attempting to find / build replica structures for the analog circuits in my 909, and ended up here. While the sound-generation part of the instrument is cool, the stuff Im really psyched about is in the sequencer. Note that it\'s an 11-channel sequencer - but the instrument is monophonic (check some other table-based drum-machines to see why this is a big deal for me). Also note that the patterns are all stored as snapshots - using \"snapvalue\" modules for every single cell in the table! While this may sound like a nightmare, it actually works great and wasnt all that bad to build.
- The drum sounds can be played with incoming midi notes - so it can be used just as a sound module. You can also sample sounds by just hitting notes on you keyboard (z is the kick drum, and it goes up from there).
- Theres about 20 percussive samples in the instrument - some from the 909 and the 808, some from computer games.
- All of the analog sections of the 909 have been replicated - but some, like the Toms, give you the option to play samples instead. All this stuff makes it a bit of a pig CPU-wise. Sorry. You can turn the effects off or lower the sample rate if its a problem for you.
- Enjoy,
CList

We could use more negative comments (not just negative votes) around this user lib. - otherwise builders will never know what users want, and non-builders will never get what they want, so don't be shy.
