Reaktor 5 or lower
Instrument Sequencer

DESCRIPTION

This is an enhanced version of Silverbird by Andre Goc.

I only added some features:
- New Mute/Solo-System (taken from massive) now works "pre"
- Pattern Sequencer
- Midi-Out

Thanks to Andre Goc for this very nice toy - and especially for the many good snapshots.

Have fun!

PS: fixed bug in midi-outs

Update: mutes now "random isolated"

Update: new global clock

Update:
- new pattern sequencer
- midi record to all sequencers
- copy paste for sequencer data (via context menu): click in upper part of sequencer to access event table functions.
- pattern selection controllable via midi: assign controllers to the numbers (knobs) above the pattern sequencer
- different filter control (allows fading between LP-BP-HP)
- bugs fixed - and maybe new ones introduced

I'm using and loving this. The remix function is inspired. Using your bird in a live 'pu disco' set. Thanks. Just downloaded the SilverBird Live. Let you know.

Mete, if you make a new upload name your zip as (version number + ensemble name) i.e 25silverbird. Now we get 7 version with capacibility of over 60 Meg. Thanks

If you right click on Pattern No. in "MOD", you can assign a pot from midi controller, but NOT in "Drums"

Hi Mete, I have been playing with the S-Birds a lot, interesting thing I found is you can feed midi back to SB, via Mod page CCs and assign the 3 sequencers to Global Pitch, Select All, And Decay for example...sit back and watch the pots move... By midi "learn patterns" I meant that to assign midi to the 5 drums is not possible, (it's called Pattern No), it is even difficult to drag it to desired number, 0-9. If I start from INIT, and I want to make my own 9 patterns for example for BD and save it...Can you look please? (I don't mean record, only midi learn, the recording is done by making 9 patterns and saving snapshot Also I would really like if you "HACK" my version of Silverbird with your sequencer for patterns... Thanx, cheers

Hi Karel, looks like you found a way to use more then 10 patterns ;-) what do you mean with midi learn the patterns? to record into the patterns? or to control the pattern selection?

Hi Mete, is it possible to enable midi learn in Patterns?(0-9) thanx

Hi Mete, a small bug, right click on 'kick' mutes all five drums, instead of soloing kick and muting rest. I like the midi out feature cheers

Hi Phillip, now I understand - I think I fixed it, at least regarding the sync clock. But: most of the buttons in silverbird are made with switches. And switches provoke unwanted parameter changes - this is a reaktor "feature"...

it also restarts if i click any button within the seq section if i am on the modulation screen. So, if i would like a modulation to effect the hihat when i press that button it restarts whole sequence thus losing timing with ableton... many thanks ohm

Opps, sorry Andre and thanks very fun ens! Mete, actually i was mistaken...when i press the randomize button it restarts the sequencer section. Thus i need to stop playback to realock timing sync. It also never plays the first beat when i restart my DAW, which is ableton.

Hi Phillip, credits go to Andre Goc and his mates, who created the little monster, not to me , i just could not resist to share some enhancements. Your problem just comes from mouse-over actions? i haven´t experienced this before. which buttons are affected? Every time or randomly?

Hi Mete, Wonderful drum machine! I have one problem when i mouse over certain buttons it restarts the sequencer, thus effecting the timing with ableton? Is their anyway to stop this from happening? Thanks ohm

Hi Jason, the mute "Buttons" are replaced by mouse areas which don´t react on midi-signals. But you can mute/unmute the channels with Midi-Notes (C-1 ... E-1) - see info text on mouse over. cheers, mete

i can't midi learn the mutes. i would rather that than ride the faders, is there something i am missing? i can do it on the earlier version....... incredible ens.

Hi Mete I also think that it is important that reaktor is a open community thing.Thats the reason why i love this thing.Maybe its possible to arrange that we dont work on the SAME things for nights.. Otherwise the motivation to continue the work on new features gets lost a bit! That s all what i wanted to say personally... In deepest respect and best regards Andre

mete, if you do have the allowence to work on it i'd appreciate _any_ update since these might enhance this already fabolous ensemble. what a pitty you did delete the last revision, maybe all of you could find a solution since it's all about .. music! and us, the community ;)

Hi Andre, Hi Johann, thanks for your comments. I agree on some points, on some not. But I don´t want to start a discussion about co-development, publishing and copyrights in an open source-like sharing platform. See my additions as inspiration and motivation for your further development. I deleted the last revision. For strange reasons your last posts have been deleted as well, this was not my intention. Keep up developing, I won´t post customisations for silverbird anymore and start playing with your really good instrument. Cheers, Mete

Hi Karel, what about this workaround: save different snapshots with your patterns (snap a: 0-9, snap b: 10-19....) then choose the different snaps with the snap select knob?
Karel Skakal

Hi Mete, thanx for the bugfix...I also like the sequencer, only wish that the pattern storage was greater then 9, then it could be interesting to set the global to X and have the sequencer play X+..1-9 cheers

If I hit 'Randomize!' it puts all 5 drums on mute... Is it possible to isolate that?
