DESCRIPTION

Comb-I is a recreation of the Ohmforce "OhMyGod" comb filter plugin given away by Computer Music every month on it's cover disc.

I built it as I was going through a period of researching schematic diagrams of synths and effects and this was the first creation out of that work.

Comb Filter

Exactly what it says on the tin. This is a specially created Comb Filter design to give that metallic edge to your sounds.

It includes it's own feedback loop and can be controlled by several knobs effecting certain parameters within the Ensemble.

Matrix

You will notice on the bottom of the ensemble there are two drop down menu's to select the destination of the sound once it has passed through the Comb Filter stage.

It is important then to note the signal path of the device as follows:

Comb Filter -----> Distortion/Saturation --------> Filters

You simply make a choice of which modules to use using this matrix

Distortion / Saturation

The distortion unit is a simple design on a regular Distortion pedal were you can control the Amount and the Lows and Highs.

"Warm" is a Saturator which gives you the chance to add a bit of warmth and character to your sound without destroying it.

Filters

The "Pro Filter" is a Low Pass filter based on the filter design for Native Instruments Pro 52 VST.

"Ooh Aah" is a specially built Formant Filter and is especially good on all types of audio material.
