Effect Distortion

DESCRIPTION

This audio effect adds different types of random distortions to the input. The types can be selected by the buttons. The big knob sets the overall intensity of the destruction.
Switch on the "Mono" botton
to apply distortion symetrically to left and right audio channels. There is a random variation between the channels otherwise.

The output section controls the level and watches the clipping of outgoing audio. It provides an automatic gain detection method, use as follows:

1 - turn Auto Gain off
2 - build your snapshot & save it
3 - turn Auto Gain on
4 - play your snapshot and watch the Gain adjusting automatically
5 - turn Auto Gain off, when maximum Peak is detected and the Gain is not changed anymore automatically (you may want to save this setting?!)
6 - now you can use the Gain knob for automation (while doing that, do not exceed the auto detected gain, that will result in clipped audio)

I really like this - a quick and easy way of disrupting audio material or roughing up dull synthesizers, etc. The stereo random variation is beautiful.
