INSTALLING NI SOFTWARE IN A NETWORK

1. Network Server: Install NI License Server tool.

2. Network Server: Add a new multi license.
Simply enter the serial number of your multi license and hit “Initialize”. You will be prompted to log in with your NI Account. After initializing the serial number, it shows up in the list.

3. Client: Install NI software.
Install the respective NI software (i.e. KOMPLETE 5) as if it were a single license. Then, install the NI License Server client tool to enable the software to activate as part of a multi license.

4. Optional: Deploy installation from Master Client.
If you are installing the client software from a master client image (i.e. when you are setting up clients in a classroom), you are now ready to do so.

5. Client: Connect the client(s).
Run NI License Server client tool to connect the installed software with the network server.

6. Network Server: Activate the multi license.
Now that you have set up the clients, you are ready to activate the license. Hit “Activate”, the multi license is then activated with NATIVE INSTRUMENTS.
