Introduction

01 - Sweet Dark Dreams 01 - Sweet Dark Dreams This moody electro track is a great example of how the SCARBEE FUNK GUITARIST can work as a lead instrument and provide the warmth of an "authentic" instrument in an otherwise synthesized production. ABSYNTH, BATTERY, FM8 and KONTAKT were used for everything apart from the guitar.

02 - Party Train 02 - Party Train With the guitar in focus, Party Train shows how you can combine various 3-string chords to form melodic chord riffs in a 70s funk style. You can hear mutes, slides, hammer-ons in a true rhythmic spectacle. The warm bass supports the guitar to form a tight rhythm unit. The pickup position used is the twangy middle-bridge. Other instruments used: SCARBEE MM-BASS, ALICIA'S KEYS, URBAN ARSENAL and KORE 2.

03 - Souleyo 03 - Souleyo A smooth G-Funk instrumental with jazzy chords, which shows how the SCARBEE FUNK GUITARIST can be used to create smoother, more laid back riffs. Other instruments used: KONTAKT, ABSYNTH and BATTERY.

04 - Chocolate 04 - Chocolate Chocolate is a groovy rhythm track using the neck-middle pickup position. Features hammer-on/pull-off fills. The sparse, drums-only mix puts the guitar in focus. Other instruments used: SCARBEE JAY-BASS and URBAN ARSENAL.

05 - City Lights 05 - City Lights The 80s influence is quite blatant in this groovy track. MASCHINE was used for drums, MASSIVE for bass, FM8 for the synth brass and ABSYNTH for pads.

06 - Bojax Nightengale 06 - Bojax Nightengale Some intense wah-wah action - courtesy of GUITAR RIG - drives the groove of this 70s soul/funk tune. Other instruments used: ABBEY ROAD 70s DRUMS, SCARBEE PRE BASS, and brass and percussion from the KONTAKT 4 Factory Library.

07 - Crazy On You 07 - Crazy On You SCARBEE FUNK GUITARIST fits smoothly into a modern pop production, as heard here. MASSIVE, KONTAKT and BATTERY were also used.

08 - This Is Mmm Hmm Ay 08 - This Is Mmm Hmm Ay For this oldschool house track, KONTAKT was used alongside SCARBEE FUNK GUITARIST for shaping and playing back drums, percussion, horns and vocals.

09 - Sunshine 09 - Sunshine Sunshine is an intimate and moody piece played with the neck pickup. Mostly 4-string chords utilize different inversions and rhythms. At the end, you hear some advanced progessions, which show how versatile the SCARBEE FUNK GUITARIST truly is. Other instruments used: SCARBEE PRE-BASS, ABBEY ROAD 70'S DRUMS and URBAN ARSENAL.

10 - Superscar 10 - Superscar In this modern disco tune, SCARBEE FUNK GUITARIST was combined with VINTAGE ORGANS and SCARBEE MARK I KEYS. The bass is taken from the KONTAKT Factory Library and some SESSION STRINGS are added at the end. All of the drums come from the MASCHINE Factory library.

11 - Fast And Funk'd 11 - Fast And Funk'd A funky track with rhodes sounds from ELEKTRIK PIANO, drums from ABBEY ROAD 70s DRUMS, congas from BATTERY 3, and the low end from SCARBEE PRE-BASS.

12 - Quadruple Down 12 - Quadruple Down For this dubstep track, SCARBEE FUNK GUITARIST delivers some dub guitar licks. Other instruments used: MASCHINE and MASSIVE.

13 - Comin' Back Again 13 - Comin' Back Again Comin' Back Again is a fresh, disco influenced tune, with SCARBEE FUNK GUITARIST as one of the main rhythm elements. Drums come from MASCHINE, bass from MASSIVE and pads from ABSYNTH.
