Form the Apple menu select About This Mac.

Windows Vista and Windows 7

Click the Start button, type winver in the search box, and then press Enter.

Windows XP

Click the Start button and then Run....

In the Open box, type winver and click OK.

The product serial number consists of 25 digits (xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx) and is required for product activation via Service Center.

If you already have activated the software, the serial number can be found in your NI account.

If you have not used the serial number yet, please read further:

Product box:

If you have bought the product as boxed version, the serial number can be found on one of the following items:

Rear side of the hardware unit: All newer hardware products have a sticker with the 25 digits product serial attached here. If the number has a different format, this is not the product serial.
Registration card: In most boxes there is a registration card with a serial number sticker on it.
CD/DVD jewel case or cardboard sleeve: If the box includes a CD/DVD jewel case or cardboard sleeve, the serial number might be available on its backside.
Printed manual: If the box includes a printed manual, the serial number might be available on its backside.

If the serial number is not available at all, but you still have the outer box for your product, please locate the 14-digit long reference number on one of the barcode stickers and enter this in the serial number field.
