This article explains how to record with TRAKTOR PRO 2 when using the External Mixing Mode with the Pioneer DJM-900.
Note: In this example we will be using Deck C as the input channel, however you can also use another unused Deck Input or the Ext Input.
- Open the Pioneer DJM-900 Nexus Setting Utility. Click on the MIXER OUTPUT tab and set USB5 / 6 to REC OUT:
- Open Input Routing in TRAKTOR's Preferences and make sure that all the inputs are configured correctly:
- Open the Mix Recorder tab in the Preferences and set the Source to Extern and External Input to Input Deck C:
- Open the AUDIO RECORDER in TRAKTOR (by clicking on the tape symbol next to the FX Panels) and start your recording:
Note: The Global Section needs to be visible for this. Select the Mixer or Extended Layout, or change your Global Settings in the Preferences accordingly.
