Is there any way to play more than one sound within a given group simultaneously? Meaning if you touch a pad or a key, however many sounds you selected within that group would trigger at once, ex combinator + a line mixer in reason? I made a suggestion thread for this feature if it doesn't already exist BC I've been trying to figure out a way to do this for a minute now in machine. Seems like theres a way do do it that I'm not catching. The sound creation possibilities would be out of this world.

this can be achieved via the sample map though..... pretty sure it takes no more work to load into the map than it would to load onto pads....not ideal for editing but does give the result.....ish ;-)

I guess you can use external out to sample your own layered melodies from different voices, chop them up and reply them that way. it just seems tedious

Hello all, I wanted to share a Live Instruments Group Template I saved:{http://hotfile.com/dl/81164963/0bafb43/22Live22_Instrument_Sampler_Gr oup.mgrp.html} This is a great work around solution for the lack of live looping audio in Maschine. Although you cant loop live audio you can record external audio on to a sound bank thats already triggered via empty MIDI DATA, All 16 pads are set up for the maximum length of pattern allowed, so you can adjust your loop length accordingly..A few things to be conscious of... In the sampling screen under the record tab, make sure the threshold levels are set 3/4 of the way up to make sure your start point begins when you play, otherwise you will have to manually adjust your sample start time to fit your sequence. Also change the mode of record to DETECT instead of SYNC and your all good to go.

"Song mode"
Hold "Scene", press "All" under left screen and play.

Not sure was it possible with older versions and has someone said it before but I remember some threads where people wanted to play songs to their friends without changing scenes manually.

That's only a quantize value. I was talking about higher resolution for people who don't use quantize and feel the resolution is altering their original timing.

You're right. Thank You! That's a very nice workaround since NI has failed to give us a fine enough resolution for nudging etc. With a "groovebox" there should be absolutely no reason we cant get a note to sit exactly where we want it but I have that problem a lot of the time. The resolution is more fine in Garageband for god sake. Reason as well. Not to even mention Pro Tools and Logic. I LOVE Maschine but THIS is a MAJOR problem for the way I like to work. I REALLY hope they handle this soon.

will the update give us more control over the nudge and what not?:o

Don't know if it's been covered but you can adjust the note velocity of multiple events in step mode.
Hold down select in Step mode and choose events. Hit the pad of the sound you want to adjust. Select the event range you want to adjust.
While holding down select turn the master volume knob to adjust the velocities of those selected notes.

I'm such a dumb***!

to switch between instruments in keyboard mode I would always hit pad + keybo to exit and and press pad+ keybo again for the next sound....when I could've easily just held SELECT and pressed my next sound!

****! SO much faster now.

Quick question:
Is it possible to do sidechain in Maschine 1.6?

I would like to use The Finger (in Reactor) and MASCHINE as a host.
I have done it in Logic 9 etc...

Thank you very much for any help.

regards

bathmutz 13-02-2011 11:52

Yes it is.

Use dB Sidechain Compressor, or another compressor that has a virtual chain (up to 4 channels)

To use the finger in Maschine select an empty pad and hit shift browse and select Reaktor FX on the first module slot then load up the finger in Reaktor FX.
Now you can route audio to that pad in the group or sound output page.

Does anyone know how to sample sounds from itunes and the internet for windows computers?

Mr36 15-02-2011 19:49

You could try Jack. I believe there is a Windows version. http://jackaudio.org/

I reckon you could do a similar thing with Note Repeat and setting the Velocity to go to Start Point on a looped sample. You simply lock in Note Repeat after setting up the Sound, then the pressure of how hard or soft you're holing down the pad will determine from where the loop is started each time.
