Monolake Sample Library???

Is there a way to still get this, or would anyone be willing to sell it? I started using Reaktor from version 3.0, so I missed out on this. Is it any good? I love Monolake, so I was hoping that it might help inspire me.

Thanks for any assistance!

if it's legal, i'll gladly send you the monolake files. i still use some of them ... i like the monolake sound. to find out whether it's legal, i recommend you ask NI directly.

NI included two sample libraries way back with reaktor 2 or 3:

Prophet 3000 - samples and sample maps of dozens of instruments and drum sets from the prophet 3000

The Monolake Collection - samples (some long) created by monolake

both very useful. :-)

It had to have been with R2, Rick- I didn't get it with R3 when I started.`

I'd be interested in both libraries myself!

Re: Monolake Sample Library???

Maybe NI will stick them up on the Reaktor page if it turns out they're still distributable.

The Monolake samples are really pretty cool (field recordings, ambiences, beats, etc.) and it was useful having the Prophet 3000 samples, at the time.

This thread has reminded me to dig out my R2 discs and reload them onto my HD.

Re: Monolake Sample Library???

I thhink I remember it being noted somewhere that these samples were purposely deleted from further release at the authors request? Some sort of copyright issue, though it has been long enough I don't have a clear recall of the exact issue. Anyway, I don't think they 'just went away' and can be easily put back into circulation. Sorry, I don't recall where I read this, it was at least three years ago.

As far as purchase, a quick search brought up this page:

http://www.mm-pro.com/Libraries.htm

Perhaps contacting this person will yeild you further information as to obtaining these.

Re: Monolake Sample Library???

The first time I heard of NI was through Wine Country back in 1998 or something. They sent me demo cd's of early NI software. They perhaps were an early distributer and maybe the Prophet 3000 samples were somehow connected to this source. Must be on Version 2 or earlier since they were not on version 3. I would love a copy of these sample too!

Re: Monolake Sample Library???

as cgibson said, i think their was copyright issues. i remember when people were asking about the 4decks ensemble, or whatever it was called, around here, someone mentioned how NI couldnt release the original ensemble anymore because monolake (who i believe co-wrote the ens) had a problem with the samples released with it (or maybe it was their record label or something).
