DRM issues?

I am compiling playlists for Beatport Sync and am having issues importing old songs that were purchased originally from the iTunes music store, onto the player. I've tried analyzing the tracks to add them to my Sync collection from both my external harddrive and internal source using the file 'explorer' tab and the 'itunes' tab (from there, used both the 'itunes music' and 'itunes library' sources) which are located over on the left column of the Sync player. I seem to have isolated the problem. The tracks that simply won't import/analyze/play into Sync seem to have been purchased from Apple iTunes at least a few years ago. Is there a DRM issue going on here? Is there a way to import DRM-protected files onto Beatport Sync (or strip the DRM), or do I have to repurchase those tracks from beatport.com or iTunes now and try importing the new ones? I heard that iTunes is ditching DRM encoded music completely now...thank god!

Beat-port sync player nor traktor will not play copy right protected files. You'll just have to figure out someway to play DRM protected files for your own listening pleasure becuase DJ software shouldn't be playing DRM protected files ... cause its illeagal . And the programmers of said software have been wise to ommit drm compatability from the roster all together. Still if there were some sort of movement to make the providers of said software responsible for the playing of drm protected files on their provided platform. The providers of some other DRM enabled music platform might make an effort to get someone to give advice concerning such matters on the non DRM providers website or forum < and that is why it is against forum rules to discuss such matters. Or maybe thats just my theory cause it would have to be.

you can pay Itunes an additional thirty cents per song to have them updated to DRM-free. And there are other ways to strip DRM, try doing a search.
