When will be able to download our purchased products?

I ordered Scarbee Pre-Bass 11 days ago and still have not been able to download it successfully. I have tried three times and all have been corrupt. I received another link to try again but it gives a fatal server error.

Does anyone know when this may get repaired?

Thanks.

Not sure, but I would call NI on the phone about this one, since it's specific to you.

I emailed them again and they sent me another link. Thanks, NI.

I'm on 21 kbps connection here at home so I won't even consider trying until I get to work tomorrow with a T1 connection. Even then, it will take between 12-15 hours. I am pretty sure I will stick to software that is available on disc from now on.

sameer, I hope you are able to get the full download today.

hey keebo.
i was having trouble with my downloader...Download them all was resetting connection
but luckily Freedownloadmanager seems to keep the download continuously..
not resetting the connection
i guess .
NI should make smaller parts of the file...[eg.RAR] it iwll be easier to DL

lets hope this one goes smoothly ..

Hi sameer,

It took about 18 hours of waiting yesterday/last night only to find that the file was bad again. I left another one downloading before I left work and will check it on Sunday.
I hope it works because I think it will be my last attempt.

Did you have any better luck?

I'm sorry my bad luck has rubbed off on you, sameer.

This is turning out to be a less than pleasant experience. I am not very confident that my download will work when I check it out tomorrow. I hope I am wrong though. I agree with you that a file this big should be split into several smaller files as an option.

I had thought earlier about buying some sound packs for Kore Player or Kontakt Player but that probably won't happen now, definetly not if they are downloads only.

Hi

I downloaded Scarbee Pre-bass twice yesterday by clicking on the link and Save As. It took a couple of hours a piece but each time I tried to unzip the file an error came up saying the file was corrupted. I was using Winzip to unpack the file. I was just about to write to Support when I remembered that Windows XP has its own zip program. The full file is about 3,072,000 or something.

If you have managed to download the full file, try right clicking on the file and selecting Open With and choose "Compressed (zipped) Folders". It takes a few minutes but eventually an .exe file will be extracted. You will hopefully be able to continue to install Scarbee from that. It works fine for me with the free Kotakt player.

Hope this helps.
Mark

Well I am done.

I downloaded the file for the fifth time and successfully unpacked it for the first time. I then copied it to a DVD disc to bring home and install. An error message popped up during the copy to hard disk saying "Data error (cyclic redundancy error)". So I tried running the exe from the DVD and the install wizard started which I thought I was in the clear finally. But a few minutes later the same error message popped up.

I am sorry but this is no longer acceptable to me.

Good luck with the rest of you guys.

Perseverance Prevailed!

For the heck of it I decided to buy a 4 GB USB memory stick that was on sale to avoid burning this thing to DVD again. Low and behold it finally installed without any errors and actually works in my DAW.

My apologies for any negativism I may have expressed.
