How to beatgrid songs with breakdowns?

Hi

I was wondering how you can beatgrid the songs that have breakdowns?

If you listen to "Black Eyed Peas - Boom boom guetta (David Guetta remix)", after 31 sec there is a breakdown of 1 bar. So the beat counter is of by one bar. Is there a way that I can prevent this?

add a new beat grid after breakdown

Can you explain this better...I tried to add a second beat grid but it looked like my entire track shifted. How can I adjust grids individually?

first change the current cuepoint that is being used as the reference for the beatgrid to a regular cue point

then create a new cuepoint after the breakdown and set this as a beatgrid

return the previous cuepoint to beatgrid

dont have the track jst listened to it on youtube - afaics the tempo is steady, the short breakdown at 31s is kicking out the 1-2-3-4 scheme, but then you just set a new gridmarker on the coming "1" and good it is.
