DC 9V Adaptor

Hey guys,

So i'm going to get a "DC 9V Adaptor" to connect my Vestax VCI-100 midi controller to the wall...The guy at radio shack wasn't sure which one i needed, and so that I don't have to bring the controller to the store, (or rely on this guy that might not know what he's talking about) i wanted to see if anyone could give me the specs on the adaptor that i should purchase. Thanks for the help!

DC 9V 500mA. The polarity is printed next to the power jack on the VCI-100 itself.

Is there any problem with using an AC instead of DC? Walmart has an AC 600mA that looks like it should work. Any reasons why I shouldn't use it?

You should read up on Alternating Current vs Direct Current.

This is exactly what you need:

Print that pic out and show the guy. Of course you need one for that weird American voltage you have over there in the Colonies. Picture shows a UK version

The Polarity is + to tip.
