Bass Instrument sample
When I load certain basses, not all the notes play.
If I pick a Fretless bass, all the notes will play.
What is the adjustments for that? Anyone.

When you view the virtual keyboard, are all the notes blue (including the notes you're trying to play)?
Some sample libraries will try to mimic the real life pitch range of the instrument, so some basses will not play below D2 (?).

Re: Bass Instrument sample
No, not all the keys are blue.
It seems like some basses will play all the notes, and some will not.
There should be an adjustment for that isn't there.
Anyone experience this?

Re: Bass Instrument sample
Ok -- maybe the notes are used to a trigger KSP script?
Is the instrument from the Kontakt 2 library, if so, which one?

Re: Bass Instrument sample
Yes, Kontakt 2 library.
And I just got the MEGA HARDCORE bass.
But, if I use the Fretless bass in the Kontakt 2 library it plays all the notes. The real bass dosn't play all the notes.

Re: Bass Instrument sample
The keyboard colours in the plug-in tells you what notes will sound. The blue keys produce a note, the white ones don't. If you were playing a real four-stringed bass that was tuned conventionally you couldn't play any note lower than E2. The Real Bass program you refer to is tuned down to C2.
The real-world range of the instrument is usually reflected in the sampled one. However, some developers choose to do otherwise and program a note range that is not based on reality, and therefore do not reflect instruments that actually exist.
Kind regards.

Re: Bass Instrument sample
So, you are saying you can't change this then?

If what your are saying is you want the bass to go lower, below it's regular range, you can do this in the Mapping Editor.
Click on the Mapping Editor and select the lowest Zone. You can then pull it down to where you want it. If you go too far it probably won't sound too good.
