Traktor Pro and Hercules DJ Control MP3

I used to be a windows user using Traktor 3.xxxx.
Now I moved to mac and got Traktor Pro for mac. A friend of mine gave me his Hercules DJ Control MP3. He upgraded to something newer. Now my question for you guys is, how can I get this unit working with Traktor Pro? Is it even possible? Do I need to configure something? Any specific drivers and configuration files needed?
I've searched through the forum and cound not find the answer.
I'm all new to this so sorry for the n00b questions.

You need to install the hercules dj mp3 drivers for leopard. Then you have to set up the midi map.
I don't know if a template has been released for Traktor PRO but if not, you'll have to do it from scratch (which i recommend)
Read your manual (eventually read a Traktor DJS3 manual)

Thanks for your reply. Ok, I have never read the manual of either of these products
What is a midi-map and how do I find these 'templates'? Whatever it means do create them manually, it sounds like a difficult task and I'm not sure if I'm able to do this. So if there is a place to find them I'de love to find out about it.

I'm having some issues finding the drivers for the DJ console on mac os x leopard. Do they even exist? I could only find drivers for the MK2 version. And mine is the MK1. Any ideas?
