Importing/Playing Pirated and bitTorrent-type files

I know this is illegal, but assume that someone wants to use pirated (like bitTorrent) music files and play those tracks over Sync for personal enjoyment. I would never use illegally-obtained music to mix into my gigs, but is importing these unconventional music file types onto Beatport Sync even possible in the first place?
