DESCRIPTION

Sine Madness is a very complex LFO with 12 part Sine-Wave Stack (Soundscape Generator).
Version 1.2

The Ensemble groups 3 instruments witch different A and B-Views. Many combinations of detailed editing or snapshot based illustration are possible by this way.

The Ensembles:

"Super LFO" is a very complex 4-Part LFO with 12 different outputs and a graphical view of its action. Outputs X1, Y1, X2 and Y2 are simple LFO outputs, but the A and B Outputs represent the mutiplication of several combinations of these "Base-LFOs":
- AX1 = X1 * Y1
- AY2 = X2 * Y2
- AX2 = X1 * Y2
- AY2 = X2 * Y1
- BX1 = X1 * X2
- BY2 = Y1 * Y2
- BX2 = X1 * X2 * Y1
- BY2 = Y1 * Y2 * X2

"Outputs" displays 12 different changing values:
- X1, Y1, X2 and Y2 : -1 ... 1
- AX1, AY1, AX2, AY2, BX1, BY1, BX2 and BY2 : -4 ... 4

"Vibrasine" is a very simple Soundscape Genereator which is exclusively based on Sine Waves moving more or less widely around a base frequency which is modulated in its pitch by 12 inputs. Every Sine Wave is also individually modulated in its amplitude and the whole result may follow in a choosable amount the movement of a selected source. The output is illustrated by a scalable XY-Scope.

good idea Re: peak limiter, Donovan. although i couldn't find it in the macros library. anyway, i have copied it from your ensemble :-)

A peak limiter included in the installed macro library will preclude the risk of thsi ever happening. If you download my last upload, it is included inside it in an 'always' on' configuration that has randomisation recieve blocked. I made the mistake of not including this crucial device at the end of my instrument's signal chain and ended up hurting Ned's ears, which really made me feel terrible. It's an easy fix, and should always be applied.

users should indeed turn the volume down when they try this. BUT this kind of sonic design/sound art has been part of the scene for 10 years now, so it is good to have an example in the User Library.

I guess Ill hold off on dowloading a bit, but im really glad to see someone experiemt with this. Ive thought about "metaLFOs" quoite often but not put anything together, so this is one Im looking forward to.

WARNING USERS! i loaded v 1.2 and was assaulted by an earwrenching high-pitch sonic blast. high-frequency sines at high volume are dangerous, arthur. please consider your listeners' ear health.

Thanks Phil for your suggestion. I still wanted to use Audio Smoothers but I didn't know exactly where to place them. The Update is already online :-)

Wow, talk about bad timing.. I always seem to upload something that gets eclipsed by masterpieces like this one, sigh... Very, VERY cool instrument, BRAVO!

hi Arthur, this is a different and interesting upload. as a fan of Sachiko M, this upload is up my street :-) however, i notice that it does suffer from Reaktor's unwanted artifects problem, which you can hear when a sine wave is modulated. try putting an Audio Smoother just before all of the Voice Combiner modules in the Super LFO Macro. you will hear a difference in the sound, especially with faster modulation rates.
