Ampere Modular v6.0
By Chet Singer
Collection of voltage-controlled synthesizer modules, inspired by the Nord Modular G2
This is a collection of voltage-controlled synthesizer modules, intended for patching together into instruments. It was inspired by the Nord Modular G2, still my favorite modular synthesizer.
To create a “patch”, paste the modules into an ensemble and wire them together.
All inputs and outputs are “voltages”, and follow conventions commonly used by modular analog instruments. Pitch inputs are calibrated in 1 volt/octave. Oscillator and LFO outputs are +/- 10 volts peak-to-peak, and envelope generator outputs max out at +10 volts. All inputs can operate at the audio sample rate. While this consumes additional CPU resources, it means that anything can be connected to anything.
I want to thank Jonathan Style for creating all of the custom panel elements.

The upload contains:
* Ampere.ens – An ensemble that includes one instance of each module.
* Example Instruments – A folder that contains some instruments created with the modules.
The example instruments are:
--Hammond organ emulator
--Modal synthesis bells
--Physically modeled guitar
--16-oscillator super saw synth
At http://electro-music.com/forum/download.php?id=19922 is a zip file that contains "AmpereV6 Modules", a folder that includes all of the modules as separate macro files, grouped by type. Copy this folder into the default Macro path, and it will appear in Reaktor’s macro browser.

--External Stereo Input
--Geiger Oscillator
--Reaktor Waveform Oscillator
--Variophon Oscillator
--Wobbly LFO
--16-Part Chorus

Holy Cow, what a lot of work went into this macro set! Very nice.
I've been looking forward to this. Most excellent. Thank you for sharing your hard work.
You're welcome.
In version 3 I've re-included the four example instruments.
this is a great day for the Reaktor Community! Thanks Chet, this is really appreciated :-)
Fantastic! It would be great to put the modules up in a separate upload if neccessary. Thank so much for this Chet.
Raphael, look above at the link to the "Ampere Modules" zip file available at electro-music.com. That contains all of the modules, grouped by type in folders. The entire folder can be copied into your User Content macro directory and then be available in the macro browser.
Thanks, I should have read more carefully!
Fantastic! Thank you so much for this!
Very good and useful upload ! This has taken me back to reaktor, thx.
perfect! thank you so much
fabulous! a full-fledged modular building environment.
This is perfect !!
After working many hours with your wonderfull macro-set, I have just one thing, I would welcome in a possible update: The on/off-button should be made in a way he really turns of all parts in a macro for saving CPU when a macro is turned off. This is normaly achieved by a switch. I just write that cause I have an old laptop, and using ableton 8 and your modules will break his neck. Anyway, a really good upload! My favored macros are the Modal resonators !!! A lot to learn from! Excellent work! Thx for that!
Hi Oliver. I tried to avoid switches because I didn't think people would like the clicks they can make. Maybe I'll have to re-think that decision.
this thing rocks my world!
what changed in v6.0 ?
V6 has 17 new modules (they're listed above). There's also a new link at electro-music (also above) that has them arranged in directories for use with the Reaktor browser.
this ensemble is a breakthrough for me. it's the first time i really build stuff with reaktor!!! thank you again so much!
Absolutely usefull, just one question do you plan with the sequencers from the modular also?also?
Thank you!!
The Nord sequencers are a little complicated because of the way they can be combined together with the Link and Park patchcords. So that may be too much for me, at least for now. But I definitely want to build a basic analog-style sequencer soon. It will have up to 16 steps, be loopable, and have both voltage and gate outputs.
wow wow wow wonderful.
cool work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
