DESCRIPTION

Metalon

When you hit a key, a new sound is created and recorded. If you liked it, you can save it out to your HD.

Thats about it. Mess with the other settings and keep hitting keys to generate more sounds.

Enjoy,
KQ

wow, I was about to make an ensemble exactly like this, literally a random percussion generator that gets stored in the tapedeck to export the ones I like. Then I stumbled upon this! you didn't just save me time, you did an amazing job. Thank you!

I hardly ever vote for downloaded ensembles, but this is FUN! Very cool ensemble that produces amazing little telemetry sounds. A sound designer's dream.

Totally fantastic! I think this might be my favourite noisemaker since Mad Box. (Going to see Thomas Lehn play tonight, btw - maybe I'll take my laptop and play along with Metalon in the background :)

kev, you are so right. all i can say is..... "Thomas Lehn, eat your heart out".......and benjamin, don't you just love the fact that there are NO delays, reverbs, etc, etc, to cloud the issue.

Very impressive and delightfully simple for the operator. I'm not surprised Phil likes this so much: he's in love with high frequency scrunching and spalittitating and no doubt he'll have this in his armoury at the next free-impro noise fest. Nice one, Chris.

Nice! Might I suggest patching the gate directly into the record control input? It will record exactly what is played, rather than cutting off at the end delay value. (The only downside to it is that it does not record any sounds after the gate release.) -inno

my favourite upload so far this year. the recorder alone is worth the download...but the synth...well.....one of the best ever uses of randomisation.
