loop player - live machine - mixing/remixing ensemble
DEX is basically a loop player/live machine/remixing ensemble
It works like 2 decks and a central mixer, so you can easily choose your tracks order and mix them like a DJ
DEX is a basic version i've taken from a bigger ensemble i currently use on my livesets.
Features
2 indipendent decks with:
-12 channel loop/sample player with basic sequencer and basic beatslicing effect
-16 songs with up to 40 samples/loops per track
-128 patterns for each song
-autopitch samples with desired BPM
-8 channel mixer with his own delay and reverb, 3 kinds of filters and master EQ
-totally configurable audio routing
Master mixer with:
-2 Channels with shared delay and reverb
-Headphones prelisten with solos
-Filter cutoffs hp/lp Allen&Heat Style (a bit less resonance)
-Visual waveform view
-Auto limiter (Waves L1 style) to avoid distortions with his own peak meter
Total recall with external controller and ready to use with Behringer BCF2000x2+BCR2000
- NO SWITCHES (well there's one but is hidden), EVERYTHING IS ON!! i've fought a lot with cpu usage to reach this, my full version consumes 75% CPU.

NO SKIN, trying to stay cpu friendly, also if you use it you will probably want to easily change the stuff and not to became crazy with gui integrations!!

I just could not resist I put dj mixer like sliders in the master. How do you keep track of all that? I will be giving it a try when I am at a computer with samples.

It is made for use it with an external controller, i rarely look at the monitor, and i use mouse only to change songs.

a big sorry to all, i didn't recognize that my manual has been wiped from the upload zip, i've modified the text over, you can download the manual and inside there is the correct link for download.
inside the ensemble is wrong cause i called it DEX before i look here that there are already some other ensembles called DEX so i've changed to D3X, you can just replace E with 3 and it will work. sry about that.
i'm reuploading also with that name just in case :/ why the hell they remove non .ens files from the .zip, they are scared about what?? with only 8 megs upload limit also!!!
Its a pain in the ass I agree with you!!! I have had the same problems as of late. It also retains deleted ens or several version into one folder, so the file size get far to big with stuff you don't want. It needs improvemnt.
Ok I got it working. I really like this. Thanks for being willing to share it will us. I only play with the demo about 10min so I am not going to vote to I acutally go through it and try it out with some of my loops. Again, thanks I think the empty version will be a big help for me, I wont have to do myself.

I downloaded your ensemble and it works fine on my notebook. The only thing I need to know about it it is how to create some song on it. I also used your map but when I put on song three, change the number in the sequencer, everything stopped working.Some more information needed.

songs are snapshot banks, so:
1 - load up your samples for song 3 in sample editor and assing midi note 3, then velocity 1 for the first sample ,2,3 and so on...
2 - do all the stuff you need in the sampler then save a snaphot in Bank3, position 1 for example.
3 - now go to the mixer and do all the stuff you need there, then save a snapshot for the mixer in Bank 3, position 1.
it's just a matter of sanpshot banks, hope it's clear, if you need something else just ask! :)

I see that is great machine - is there any possibility to load my own sample - wav or aif format, and makes banks with my sounds to perform live?
sure! have you read the little manual and the comment .10 above here ? Be more precise on your questions let's see if i can help.
BTW i'm about to upload a new version with a bugfix, some code rewritten in core cell (less cpu usage) and 16 channels for eack deck instead of 12 if you care..
