Reaktor 5 or lower

DESCRIPTION

This is a personal reproduction of the classic small mono-synth Dark Energy from Doepfer made by using only basic components in Reaktor Primary Level.
-------- Built with Reaktor V5.9.0 --------
It has the same functionalities of the original hardware, it sounds good and it looks nice :)
- responds to MIDI Velocity messages
- receives MIDI Pitchbend messages (range: -12/12 st)
-----------------------------------
UPDATE 1.2
- added adjustable Pitch Bend Range (both upd&down)
- added Snapshot Store&Recall via MIDI CC
- fixed Automation issue: now each control can be automatable in your DAW
- graphic and other general improvements
- added 15 Snapshots
PLEASE NOTE: if you have previously made some snapshots on your own, you should have to reset the correct position of each switch (switches only, not knobs..) because now they are normal faders/knobs and not mouse area-controlled elements, so they've lost previous settings..
-----------------------------------
UPDATE V 1.1
Added:
- Sub Oscillator
- Mixer to control levels for VCO waveforms, Sub Oscillator and External audio input
- Master output level control
- Glide control on Panel A
- Keyboard Note Priority switch (low/last/high) on Panel B
- 30 Snapshots
- fixed DC-offset
- fixed some small graphic bugs

Uploaded as .zip file.

Sounds in audio examples are made only with Deep Energy (excepts for piano loop). No external processing.
-----------------------------------

Would you like to add a great Step Sequencer (like Doepfer Dark Time) to it in Reaktor ?

This is the rules of the UL. http://www.native-instruments.com/es/company/legal-information/ul-terms-and-conditions/ Among other things this is a rule - i quote drom the link above: "About User Libraries The Native Instruments User Libraries (UL) are provided to you as a central place to share or download Native Instruments’ product-related files created by you or other users, such as instruments, sounds and presets, free and without any commercial interest." As NI also has stated on there web-site, the builders have the rights to there own stuff, and therefor NI do not sell the builders stuff . neither the UL it self. That said, then i can say about this synth that it is a nice GUI. I suggest to build a doepfer filter and not use a standard reaktor filter. This kind of synth must be about the sound. It's in the details the differences is. Snapshots take time yes. Good ones much time. But presets presents the stuff you create.

@Diego Callegari, most uploaders to the User Library are not thinking about selling their Ensembles online - Reaktor Team are. I would have thought that a Synth with a good GUI combined with loads of Snapshots to show it off would be good publicity for the commercial sequencer - that goes with with this synth - that they are hoping to sell on their website. This for me would have made good promotional sense. Sorry, but taking time to make Snapshots is part of the building process especially if you want to make commercial Reaktor Instruments. Fwiw, I did buy the Step Sequencer.

@Paul Amca: thank you for the highlighting on DC bug. We can fix it. @Diego Callegari: thanks a lot for your support. You really hit it on the nail.

As the devs chose to spend quite some of their time to build a nice ensamble giving away it FOR FREE, even having a nice gui, I see no problem in lacking some snapshots. Maybe people are forgiving a bit of sense of gratitude over here, as on this community library there's plenty of whatever you can chose from and for free. Doing own snapshots is also part of the fun of being a user, playing and using free Reaktor ensambles. Thanks for the synth. Cheers

Your instrument has a really high dc-offset. Please use a dy-offset filter, maybe from rachMiel. It´s a good one.

We apologize for this misunderstanding: we absolutely did not have intention to joke about something nor to lack of respect for the Users. As said before, we really haven't had time to work on good presets, but all the same we have chose to upload this project in the UL. We have so many updates in mind. Thanks for the support. Dear Reaktion Team, thank you for your efforts. I like your contribution. I am puzzled though with the preset policy you came up with. Not the fact that you are going to deliver them later to help us in valueing the synth. But the fact that you do not take the users seriously when promoting your commercial offer while joking about user selfishness by not creating presets on their own. I am looking forward to the update though. Thanks a ton and keep up your work.

Hi Phil, we don't believe that our skills as builders depend upon the number of Snapshot. We are busy people too and we haven't had time to make some preset on this instrument, we apologize for that. It's only a matter of time. Anyway, we highly regard your and any comment, so thank you very much, and check out next update. See you soon, Reaktion Team.

Hi Reaktion Team - the User Library has 4,000 Free uploads. the best and most highly rated - and FREE - synths have at least 30 Snapshots. You guys are clearly interested in selling Reaktor products so you should think of this upload as a 'promotional' example of your work. One Snapshot is not a good way of showing your skills as Reaktor builders. Remember we are busy people and it is easy for us to judge the quality of an upload if we can flip through a number of Snapshots. FYI, I have created Snapshots for quite a few uploads here, so yes - I can make my own presets.

Hi guys, we will make some snaphots in next updates but we believe in a world where if we can spend hours and hours working on a good and FREE virtual instrument, you can spend some minutes to make one preset or two. Think about this as a way to express yourself and make sounds on your own, with a personal touch. Anyway, we will make some preset.

Okay synth with a nice GUI - but we expect more Snapshots here in the User Library.

Hi Guys, thanks a lot for your feedback! We note down the small graphic bugs you have noticed; we will surely fix them in a next update, so check out soon! @marco vicari: we are not planning other emulation of existing hardware - we would like to concentrate on original stuff. Reaktion Team

Liking the GUI as well, one thing or 2 I noticed tho is the switches "screw nuts" move when switching should be easy to, simple graphic alignment I guess, and B view "B... Picture" has a frame on B view and not on A which makes the whole skin displace when switching to B view, nothing special just details that I happen to notice, synth is awesome, thanks a lot for sharing this work!
