TRAKTOR KONTROL X1
TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 is a flexible MIDI controller for Serato Scratch Live™ users. Thanks to the included SSL MIDI assignment and a printed overlay in the packaging, TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 can be used right out of the box with your Serato setup. Not only does it perfectly complement your setup, it makes it even more powerful! Plus, Serato users can get started right away without having to make any tedious assignments manually.
Of course, it's also easy to adapt the controller entirely to your own needs using MIDI Learn to add individual and storable assignments.
The included Serato overlay means you won't have to use the keyboard shortcuts or keyboard overlays of your computer - in fact you won't have to touch you computer at all! Just put the overlay on top of your TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 unit and you’re ready to go!
The TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 overlay for Serato Scratch Live™ is clearly arranged in distinct Track Browse, Cueing and Looping sections for each deck. There are dedicated buttons for 1-button access to Relative and Absolute modes for each deck. Plus, six buttons and six high-quality knobs provide direct access to Serato's SP-6 sample player, making TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 the perfect addition to your Serato Scratch Live™ setup as well as a unique solution for getting hands-on with loops, cues, and samples!
Furthermore, an unlabeled template is included so you can name your individual controller template.
With enough room for convenient control of track browsing, hotcueing or firing off samples, you always have the right music on hand - keeping you in the flow at all times. The intuitive Loop Control section, together with direct access to all five hotcues per track, will have you remixing your music effortlessly.
Robust rotary knobs with a heavy-duty feel provide precise tactile feedback - letting you delve deep into your mixes without having to touch your computer.
- The controller includes a pre-mapping for Serato Scratch Live™ 1.9 with the option to freely customize any individual part. Tweak the defaults or reconfigure the mapping entirely to your preferred workflow

TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 is the perfect companion for DJs who spin using vinyl control with Serato Scratch Live™. With the vinyl controlling all transport functions, the slim and powerful X1 is used for finding and loading tracks, instant looping, triggering cue points and one-shot samples using the Serato Scratch Live™ SP-6 sample player. DJs who love the hands-on feel of vinyl will appreciate the X1's hardware design and the fact that they'll never have to touch the computer in mid-set.
TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 features a total of 30 buttons, four push encoders and eight knobs arranged in the following sections for use with digital vinyl:
1. SAMPLE PLAYER SECTION
Six high-resolution potentiometers and six buttons make up the SP-6 sample player section of Serato Scratch Live™. This section allows 1-button control for triggering samples and one-shots while being able to adjust their volume levels independently.
2. BROWSE SECTION
One push encoder per deck is dedicated to browsing through playlists and loading tracks. Simply turn the push encoder to find the track you want, and push it to load it into the corresponding deck. Pressing Shift when pushing the encoder provides convenient access to “instant doubles” for beatjuggling (duplicating the track on the other deck to the selected deck, in identical position). There are dedicated buttons to switch each deck from absolute to relative timecode tracking.
3. LOOP SECTION
This section allows for intuitive control of loop capabilities. The section offers 1-click manual looping (setting loop in and out points) as well as auto loop when pushing the encoder. Turning the encoder will access the most integral loop editing function: changing the loop size.
4. CUE SECTION
This section provides direct access to all five hotcues per track, as well as one dedicated Tap button per deck to conveniently tap the track’s BPM. Here, all of the hardware and layout strengths of TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 come into full effect – DJing with Serato has never been more intuitive or fun!

In addition to those described here, you can change the pre-allocated NI assignments for Serato Scratch Live™ individually using MIDI Learn.
Your customized configurations can be stored and accessed at any time. Furthermore, an unlabeled template is included so you can name your individual controller template.
