Compatibility with the Intel Mac platform?

All current Native Instruments applications and hardware drivers are compatible with Intel-based Macs. The updates are free for registered users of the relevant products and can be downloaded in our Update Manager.

Please note: Some updates require a new serial number! These serial numbers can be requested in the Update Manager from the "What's this" info file located next to each update.

In general we recommend to update your NATIVE INSTRUMENTS software always to the latest version. This can be done via the Update Manager of SERVICE CENTER of from the NATIVE INSTRUMENTS website.

KONTAKT PLAYER customers: Please update to the latest version of the free KONTAKT PLAYER. It is available as a free download  here:

Native Instruments does not recommend, or offer technical support for, using its products within the "Rosetta" environment on Intel-based Macintosh computers.

Users of third-party instruments based on KONTAKT, KOMPAKT or INTAKT technology should check the information in this article.

No Universal Binary updates will be released for older or no longer available versions of NI products, such as ABSYNTH 1/2/3, REAKTOR 3/4, GUITAR RIG 1, REAKTOR SESSSION, FM7, BATTERY 1/2, B4 (Version 1), PRO-5/52, TRAKTOR DJ Studio 1/2.x, X-PRESS KEYBOARDS, INTAKT, KOMPAKT. INTAKT and KOMPAKT users can upgrade to KONTAKT 3.
