Installation process quits after a few seconds on Mac OS 10.5 / 10.6

Some Native Instruments installers require a patch in order to work under Mac OS 10.5 / 10.6. The affected installers can be patched using the "Leopard patch installer". There are two Leopard installer patches available, one for Kontakt Player 2 libraries and one for other products.

Here is a list of Native Instruments installers which require this patch (Kontakt Player 2 installer list can be found below):
  • Traktor Scratch 1.0 and 1.1
  • Komplete 4 2007
  • Elektrik Piano 1.5.0 R2 (see also this article about installing Elektrik Piano)
  • Pro-53 3.0.4
  • Some versions of Traktor 3 LE
  • Guitar Rig 2.2.2 (not officially supported under Mac OS 10.5 / 10.6)
  • Vokator 1.2.0 (not officially supported under Mac OS 10.5 / 10.6)
  • Spektral Delay 1.6.0 (not officially supported under Mac OS 10.5 / 10.6)
The Leopard installer patches will solve the following problem:

After selecting an installation path for the installation and pressing the "Install" button on the next page the installation begins and a progress bar is shown, but after a short moment either the installer crashes or is skipping back to the previous page. If you experience this problem, download the Leopard Installer from here:

Please note that there is one version of the patch for Kontakt Player 2-based libraries, as well as a general installer patch for all other affected products.

  • Best Service - Galaxy II

  • Tapspace - Virtual Drumline 2.5
  • Sibelius Sounds Essentials
  • Sibelius Sounds World Music
