How can I completely uninstall TRAKTOR PRO 2 from my Mac OS X computer?
Follow these instructions to completely uninstall TRAKTOR PRO 2 from your Mac OS X computer.
1. Data Backup
The Root Directory contains all of your track collection information and settings in TRAKTOR PRO 2. If you wish to save this information you must make a backup copy of this folder. It can be found in the following location, unless you changed it to a custom location manually:
Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Documents > Native Instruments > Traktor 2.x.x
If you selected a custom location for the Root Directory, copy it from there.
2. Deleting the files and folders
You can use the Mac OS X Uninstaller Utility to automatically uninstall TRAKTOR PRO 2 from your computer. It can be downloaded in the Utilities area on the NI Drivers & Other Files website.
In order to uninstall TRAKTOR PRO 2 manually, you need to remove the following files and folders:
Macintosh HD > Applications > Native Instruments > Traktor 2
Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences > com.native-instruments.Traktor Pro 2.plist
Macintosh HD > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > Traktor 2
Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Library > Preferences > com.native-instruments.Traktor Pro 2.plist
Macintosh HD > Users > *User Name* > Documents > Native Instruments > Traktor 2.x.x
Note: On newer Mac OS computers running OS 10.7 (Lion), the User Library folder is hidden. To access it, press down the Alt key and click on the Finder menu bar entry Go. The Library entry will become visible in the drop-down menu and can now be selected.
