Maschine (or Traktor Kontrol X1) installer freezes during the installation of the MASCHINE driver on a Windows PC

We have identified a problem of the MASCHINE driver installation if an RME Fireface is installed on the same Windows computer (the TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 also affected) . As workaround you can solve this installation problem as follows:
  1. Rename the file "fireface_mme.dll" in the folder Windows/system32 to anything else.
  2. Then run the MASCHINE (or the X1) installer again. This time the driver should install flawlessy.
  3. When the installation has been finished successfully, rename the fireface file again to its original name "fireface_mme.dll".

Native Instruments is in contact with RME to find a permanent solution for this problem.
