How to install the KOMPLETE 8 content on an external hard drive (PC)
You can choose to install KOMPLETE's sample libraries in any location on your PC.
When you start the KOMPLETE installer, you will first be prompted to define where you wish to install the APPLICATIONS. This must be set to your System drive. In a later step, you will be asked to define a location for the libraries:
If you do not change this location during the installation, the libraries will be installed in default locations:
Windows:
C:\Users\Public\Documents
If you have a dedicated location for your sample libraries, you should choose this folder for the library installation.
Note: We do not recommend selecting the root level of a hard drive to install the libraries. There is a known issue on Mac under Snow Leopard (see related articles).
If you have already specified a folder to contain your sample libraries on your hard disk, just select that path as the install location.
If you prefer to use a Native Instruments folder in your Sample Libraries folder, you can add it under Sample Libraries and select this for the library location in the installer.
