Where should I install the sample libraries included in KOMPLETE 6, 7 or 8?
You can choose to install KOMPLETE's sample libraries in any location on your
computer.
When you run the KOMPLETE installer, first you'll be prompted for the location to install the APPLICATIONS. This must be set to your Mac OS X system drive. However, then you'll see the following screen, and you can change the install location for the libraries here (note that this image is from KOMPLETE 6, but versions 7 and 8 look quite similar):

If you do not change the location during the installation, the libraries will be installed to these default locations:
Windows:
C:\Users\Public\Documents
Mac:
Macintosh HD>Users>Shared
If you have a dedicated hard disk for your sample libraries, you should choose a folder on this disk for the library installation.
Note: We do not recommend to select the root level of a hard drive to install the libraries, there is a known problem with this on Mac under Snow Leopard (see related articles).
If you have already a folder for your sample libraries on your hard disk, just select this for the install location.
If you prefer to have a Native Instruments folder within your Sample Libraries folder, you can add it under Sample Libraries and select this for the library location in the installer.
