Audio Kontrol 1 mapping tool for use with Mac OS 10.6
When trying to use the latest version of the AUDIO KONTROL 1 mapping tool (v1.0.2) under Mac OS 10.6, the application will unexpectedly quit at startup.
This article provides the previous version of the AUDIO KONTROL 1 mapping tool application (v1.0.1) that can be used under Mac OS 10.6 without this problem.
This serves as interim solution until an final solution for this issue is available.
You only need this mapping tool if you want to use the dial and the three knobs on the top of the AUDIO KONTROL 1. Otherwise, if you plan to use AUDIO KONTROL 1 just as audio and/or MIDI interface, the mapping tool is not necessary.
1. Download and unzip the file "Audio Kontrol 1.zip" which you will find attached to this article.
2. After unzipping the downloaded file, put the unzipped folder named "Audio Kontrol 1" into your applications folder.
3. Double click the application "Audio Kontrol 1" in this folder to start. With this application running, you can assign or use the dial and the three knobs of your AUDIO KONTROL 1.
In case you already have an Audio Kontrol 1 folder installed, replace the currently installed Audio Kontrol 1 application with the one from the downloaded folder.

The Audio Kontrol 1 mapping tool does not need to be activated in order to work.

Known issues:
- Do not install the update to Audio Kontrol 1 v1.02, even if this update would be shown by Service Center or in the updates manager on our homepage. (In case you install the 1.0.2 update by accident, replace the updated Audio Kontrol 1 mapping tool with the one from the downloaded folder.)
- No dial/knob pre-assignments included
- Service Center might not recognize the Audio Kontrol 1 mapping tool, depending on if a regular installer has been run before or not. In any case the functionality will not be affected by this.
