The alert indicator on S4 Controller is flashing. What does this mean?

If the alert indicator on the S4 Controller is flashing, a problem related to the TRAKTOR PRO S4 has been detected. The alert can occur due to the following reasons:

The CPU load of TRAKTOR PRO S4 is too high
This can happen if you run TRAKTOR on a computer which is at the lower limit of the minimum requirements. In this case try to increase the latency in the audio setup first. Other measures to minimize the CPU load are to reduce the keylock quality, the number of used effects, to work with two decks instead of four or to avoid using the sample decks.

The power supply of your laptop is disconnected
We highly recommend to run your laptop with the power supply instead of the battery. Most laptops will then run in a different energy mode which causes a higher system performance. Another benefit is that you do not need to take care of the charging level of the battery during a live set.

The main volume or the headphones volume is set too low in TRAKTOR PRO S4
Check in the TRAKTOR PRO S4 software that neither the MAIN control above the internal mixer not the headphones VOL knob below the right deck is set too low. The alert will only be triggered if the levels are nearly the minimum.
