Installer error: 'Please run this installer from the original DVD' (PC)

When trying to run a downloaded installer, you may receive the following error message:
Download the installation files from the NATIVE INSTRUMENTS website again, then start the installation by simply double-clicking the .EXE file.
Important note: Do not double-click the .ISO file! If an .ISO mounting tool, i. e. WinRAR, is installed on your computer, double-clicking the .ISO file might change it and thus make it unusable for installation.
