DESCRIPTION

*July 2021 update*
Spring Reverb upgrade to version 1.1
Snapshot volume changes

This is a fun, rough and ready emulation of the excellent SYNTRX by Erica Synths. The buttons on the matrix have three levels of activation and multiple inputs (rows) can be active per output (column). The spring reverb is hugely taxing on the CPU, there are hundreds of 'micro diffusors' in order to get the spectral smearing somewhat correct. I have added a more normal reverb, also interesting in that the length of the delay lines are each a prime number of samples and are not modulated. Another item of note is the Sin oscillator in Osc1 as its shape parameter gives it an interesting spectrum, it was developed some time ago for another project and works well here. There are some simple patches which show basic funtionality and will help you get to grips with how signal routing via the matrix works. There is a global signal level adjustment which is most useful when randomising the patch/snaphot. The filter was specifically chosen to be similar to the hardware equivalent after I watched Loopops' video and saw that at certain settings the resonance seemed to migrate to the zero crossing portion of the waveform and I remembered seeing Vadim Zavalishin demonstrate this. The trapezoid envelope loops by default and is super fun. If the envelope is not self triggering when it should, you can use the attack button in the X/Y unit to manually trigger it. Use external audio, the included (external to Syntrix) sequencer and delay effect too.

DavidGNT, sorry that made it past my QA process! It is a feedback overload issue, you could turn down the global level in the synth and resave the preset or delete the preset. Turning Reaktor off and back on again will reset it when this happens.

Hi Barry, fantastic ensemble, thanks for sharing, I'm having fun with it! I did notice something a bit odd while testing though, If I choose the preset 37 (last one in the list) it's kind of blocking the ensemble to work normally afterwards, I have to force re-open it. What happened on the scope is that the signal is flat and keeps staying on the bottom. Maybe you already spotted it but in any case :)

I'm glad you are having fun Andrew :)

third times a charm haha. turns out, you cannot crash it by abusing the pin matrix, as every pin has a permanent connection and its own respective unit delay! bold choice

i bet i can crash reaper by abusing the pin matrix. used to do it all the time with chet singer's prepared guitar when i expanded its routing

what tuning system is that outrageous demo sound comprised in? harmonic series?? it sounds bewilderingly familiar

Amazing....I saw this synth and started building an emulation, had a few other things going on and forgot about it...and here it is! Love you and this community :)

I love the synth... although what I'd love to see is just the spring section all on its own. I really love the 'boinginess' of that reverb! Port it!
