Instrument Sampler

This grain cloud sampler, part of the jambient series posted to the library, is a bit like Travellizer, but pitch and position are driven by a gestural interface called a Wiggler.

Open the ensemble, load a sample, click the play button. Then play with drawing wiggles, with waves and loops, in the XY beneath the wave form. The wiggle keeps repeating, travelling through position (determined by X position) and pitch space (determined by Y position). The faster you draw your wiggle, the quicker the sample will move through the loop; and if you draw a loop in your wiggle, the sample will backtrack.

Also has a wave function for scrolling your wiggle horizontally, so as to move your position-pitch pattern back and forth in sample.

Further options in B view.

See enclosed PDF for documentation.

NB: Resolution of wiggle recording is determined by control rate; works better at 800. If you want to record longer wiggles, dig into the wiggler>storage macro and increase the X size of BOTH the X and Y tables.

I gave this a 4 only because it has very limited use and too few controls, but it is an interesting start and a lot of fun.

absolutely brilliant! all your jambient stuff is really good, but this is my favorite. the interface is great for live performance or improvisational recording. looking forward to your future creations!
