DESCRIPTION

jambient GrClLoop is a GrainCloud based sampler to be added to the jambientRkt ensemble.

It uses 'throwers' to let you dynamically stepsequence position in the sample, as well as dynamically pattern pitch, speed and grain length. The GrainControl area lets you make further adjustments to grain playback.

Comes with full tutorial.

v 2.0: Gains value are now stored; improved motor fader behaviour

v 3.0: Now has improved stopper behaviour suggested by Phil Durrant; to stop, just click on the red lights that go on when you throw. Also fixes snapshot recall behaviour broken by changes to Reaktor (wasn't properly recalling throwing movements).

The jambientRkt ensemble is available at the NI site. jambientRkt is designed for live jamming with samples, geared to ambient-style sound making and nonrythmical audio collage. It's designed to be played inside the Reaktor interface (rather than to be played through MIDI input). jambientRkt is an outgrowth of ideas first developed in Jambient (www.jambient.com), a VB program. Phil, thanks for the compliment--and that's a good criticism. I've got a fix, email me at jambientSoftware@cogeco.ca and I'll send a zip explaining how to revise. If enough request it I'll post an update, but I'm waiting to see if anything else needs adding, because every time you fix now, you lose all your votes.

this is very good by only slight criticism is, that it is not so easy to stop the "throwers". the Position pattern sequencer is especially good. nice one.
