DESCRIPTION

I needed a gate that has a key input and does NOT click- smooth but punchy- to eliminate snare bleed in a bd track.

I use SX and two Ottow Gates in one Reaktor instance as an insert effect in a group where the bass drum signal is on the left and the snare signal on the right channel. The first gate cuts the sn bleed from the bd track, the second gate tightens the bd. Ottow Gate is suitable in various other applications.

Can it deliver similar or better results than most other gate plugins? My ears say YES. Try it out and comment.

Thanks very much Phil, Chris (x2) and Graham. It needed some improvements esspecially when triggered with lo Freq signals. Will uploaded it soon. I am currently doing an internship @ NI, Berlin in the QA dept.

well i am using a breakbeat to gate a vox sample and getting some great results. this really is must download. very useful for gating and ducking effects. i love this, thanks for sharing :-)

i don't speak a word of german (okay - i can swear - my mom is german) but i'm loving this track: www.mobileaufnahme.de/christianottow/audio/mondenkind06/Zeitlos.mp3 hilarious. german gangsta bootie rap. is there such a thing? and if so, why? are there berliner wiggers driving around in lowered hondas, all tricked out with neon lights under their cars blaring this stuff? it isn't all just basic channel and black turtlenecks? kraftwerk and krautrock? :) g.
