Reaktor 5 or lower
Instrument Sequencer

DESCRIPTION

Synth with capability to record slider control changes in real time without midi.
The synth section is fairly standard stuff but with the added capabilities of recordable panel control sliders, generating nuanced, complex and expressive textures is possible.

Slider positions are sampled at 1mS intervals to prevent zippering.

Equivalent to a 30 channel control sequencer without having to deal with all that messy controller data and uses minimal system resources.
Simply moving the sliders while playing the sequencer will record changes. The recording time or duration is set by the Record Len knob in the Seq. CTRL section
in Bars and notes divisions.
Sliders can be continuous or gated by sequencer steps. Left clicking on the slider label switches between modes.

The Sequencer section has per step note duration capability and gate time is also programmable.
The sequencer automatically loops when note values add up to a complete bar length as determined by time signature.

See additional info comments for each panel control.

excelent... simple, good sounding, great user interface.. i wonder why this is not part of the official Lib to replace some of the overdone and over cpu hungry stuff that dont even sound interesting

Try version 2.3 but not sure why it would be crashing. I am a PC guy (actually WinXP on a Mac Pro without Mac OS) so can't check for compatibility issues.

Just updated the ensemble with a few bug fixes to note duration and removed clicks from envelopes.

Very nice and useful Sequencer. Run through some vintage warming Plug Ins and transient designers this ensemble sounds great and very analogish...

Thanks for the positive comments. I found that I needed to set latency on my sound card a bit higher than normal with this ensemble. It may be due to all the snap arrays that are being used for the slider recordings...not sure. I imagine a midi input would be possible. I am working on a wavetable version as well.

...Any chance for midi keyboard pitch input? I hade some glitching but nevermind, it was with some snaps, not with all.

This is really good. A nice idea and a fantastic interface. Great for non-static melody phrases. Thanks!

very cool synth. I would like to see an "init" snap to reset everything. Some other choices for sequencer would be nice too (rev, for-rev). This would be really cool as a wave synth instead of std oscillators with the waves recordable controls.
