CUSTOMIZING YOUR SOUND
Using Sound Parameters allows you to really customize and tailor sounds for your music. You can adjust the sound of each instrument and mould them to your taste. Add effects to Sounds and use the Smart Strip as a hands-on way to control your performance effects.
ADJUSTING INSTRUMENT PARAMETERS
In Plug-in view, navigate parameter pages with the left and right arrow buttons, and turn the knobs to adjust them. Holding SHIFT while turning the knobs allows for fine-tuning.
UNDERSTANDING THE SIGNAL PATH
MASCHINE+ provides a large selection of effects that you can apply on Sound, Group, and Master channels. This is how your signal flows through different stages.
ADDING EFFECTS
To add effects in Plug-in view, push the 4D-encoder to the right to select the + symbol. Press the 4D-encoder to insert an effect. Turn 4D-encoder to select a preset, for example, Reverb. Press the 4D-encoder to load the preset.
USING PERFORM EFFECTS
Performance effects are applied to a whole Group. To select an effect, press SHIFT + PERFORM, and slide your finger on the Smart Strip to instantly engage it. To turn off the effect, press PERFORM again.
Once you have everything sounding how you want it, you can export your ideas to use elsewhere.
