While you can run the MASCHINE software without the hardware connected, it was designed as an integrated system. There are no plans to offer the software or hardware separately.

Yes. All MASCHINE hardware products come with KOMPLETE 11 SELECT.
Yes. MASCHINE JAM’s sequencer supports full polyphonic tracks and arrangements. Each sound can be monophonic (with or without glide) or polyphonic. Every sound can be played harmonically in Keyboard Mode via the hardware pads.
In the MASCHINE software, each group can hold an unlimited amount of patterns. All patterns can be accessed in real-time from the hardware using the 8x8 click-pad matrix in Project View Mode.
Yes. All KOMPLETE 9, 10, and 11 plug-ins along with NKS- supported plug-ins are perfectly integrated with MASCHINE. Parameters automatically map to the 8 display knobs on the hardware. MASCHINE also hosts all other 3rd party VST and AU plug-ins.

MASCHINE software provides 16 stereo outputs. These can be routed within a host sequencer when using MASCHINE as a plug-in, or through your computer's audio interface if it has enough physical outputs. Every individual sound and group in the MASCHINE software has one main bus and two AUX busses for efficient use of outboard equipment.

You can import MIDI files, iMaschine projects, AIFF, WAV, and REX 2 files including their slicing information. MASCHINE also offers import for MPC 500/1000/2000(XL)/2500/3000/4000 programs.
You can export WAV or AIFF audio files in 16-, 24- and 32-bit depth, as well as MIDI files via drag and drop or with the export function.
Yes. All MASCHINE Expansions are compatible with MASCHINE JAM. MASCHINE JAM’s innovative hardware design enables new sequencing and sound shaping possibilities with MASCHINE Expansions.
No. All elements of KOMPLETE 11 SELECT are already included in KOMPLETE 11 or KOMPLETE 11 ULTIMATE.
No. All MASCHINE hardware controllers use the same software. If you update to the latest MASCHINE software and Controller Editor version via Native Access**, you can use MASCHINE JAM right away.
No. This license can’t be sold separately – it's effectively part of your purchase.
Yes. All KOMPLETE products perfectly integrate with MASCHINE software after you update them via Native Access*. This also includes individual products that were in KOMPLETE 9. Discontinued products are not fully integrated, but still load as VST or AU plug-ins.
*Alternatively, software can be updated through the Service Center.
