Ondioline audio demos

1950s monosynth

  • An emulation of a legendary early synth
  • Designed for realtime control
  • 6 GB Kontakt instrument

From the early days of synths

This is a modelled analogue instrument based on the Ondioline, invented in 1941 and produced in the 1950s and 60s. It was created by inventor Georges Jenny as a low cost Ondes Martenot, sharing the same lateral vibrato keyboard and with a knee-lever to shape volume. Entirely valve-based with its own built-in amplifier it inspired the Clavioline, Jennings Univox and Hammond Solovox. The sound is realistic, organic and extremely expressive. Sound on Sound called it: “Quirky, fun, and authentic”.

Soniccouture develops virtual instruments and sample libraries for composers and producers. They have been working in close partnership with Native Instruments and the Kontakt platform since 2005 to change the way sampled instruments are regarded by musicians. Combining unprecedented levels of detail with organic performance programming, established Soniccouture as one of the most original and innovative instrument developers. Today, with a wide catalog of instruments already available, Soniccouture continues to explore the limits of what is possible with sampling.
