DESCRIPTION

Hello from outer space.

This is a compilation of my best Blocks, including dozens of oscillators, filters, and effects. A number of ensemble files are also provided, to demonstrate some of the patching possibilities of the modules. I hope you enjoy them!

Donations appreciated at Paypal.me/BrettLavallee

In this update eight new Blocks have been added.

Barberpole Flanger, Barberpole Phaser, 8-Pole Ladder, and Tone are Blocks based of new factory macros added in version 6.2.2

Tone is a multi-effect with high and low shelving filters, compression, and asymmetrical overdrive.

Metaverb Color is a version of this reverb with crossover filtering

Oscillator 1 is an oscillator with controls for symmetry, tone, and a sub oscillator.

Dagger is an oversampled dual oscillator with a sound as sharp as a blade

Zombie is a bass synthesizer with Dirt, Teeth, and Bleed effects.

♫♪♫♪
(Dual DPW is the only sound source for the demo track.)

Thanks to
Michael Hetrick for parts, including ring mod, chaos, & vector mixer.
Benjamin Poddig - DPW oscillators, ZDF filters, DC filters.
Adam Hanley - Speaker & Room emulation.
Cal Scott - Graphics, collaborative work on Vortex Generator.
David Coffin - Watercolor backgrounds for Neptune and Sunspot
Mitch Burton - Original Clock Deluxe.

I hope to keep improving these over time, so please let me know if you have any suggestions! Have fun making music, everyone!

Make sure your version of Reaktor is up to date, then drag and drop the Blocks from your desktop or the file browser into your ensemble’s structure view. It should be as simple as that. There is also a folder of example ensembles to show how they can be patched.

At center position the signal is completely unfiltered, functionality is the same as the normal Bento VCA. Thanks for checking them out.

In the VCA+Color, it seems we have a weak level, even in center position. May be raise the process/amp value ? Or is it your will ?

Some really cool and creative ideas in here, thank you! Like putting ring mod on a reverb - a nice trick I will probably use from time to time now.

Hello Brett! The value of your work is simply beyond words! So I give a shit on further laudatory bla and better visit paypal as soon as my modest monthly salary comes in. Promised! One more thing: The demo track is not only tonally but also musically very persuasive and inspired me immediately to create some own buzzes and plopps. Maybe I´ll post a link to the tune here... Thanks again for all the benefactions you bestow on us blockheads...;-)

I liked the clean look. It wasn't intentional, but I don't mind the association. Music is the world's best weapon against hate. Use it well and often, especially in hard times! And I hope these come in handy when you do!

Hi Darren, thanks very much for your kind words. The demo track was made with the test ensemble Path Test 1. It is multiple recordings stitched back to back, not one performance. Have fun!

Just getting into Reaktor and this is the best blocks I have found yet. What patch/ens is used for the demo? I can't seem to find it.

I've gotten better at implementing the Diode as an effect, so I updated the original that was in the Wavedraw Oscillator. In the new blocks I tried really hard to balance volume levels, and I think I did a good job in the end. Please let me know what you think about them, and if you have any suggestions for improvements to these, or any of my blocks.

The Linear Congruential is a "rudimentary" type of number generator, so it's a little more predictable than the other styles of chaos. But although it is not exactly suitable for modern encryption, it certainly works for musical means. I hope you like it!

Nice! Thanks for the convenient pack! If you're interested, my Diode macro was taken from this line in the Mutable Instruments' Warps DSP: https://github.com/pichenettes/eurorack/blob/fa31019560946d094e2bf5d97445b203bb5ebeb6/warps/dsp/modulator.cc#L347 I recommend taking a look at the original paper as well. I tweaked the numbers so that Squid Axon would behave more like the videos I watched on it. There's another instance of that macro in my Ring Modulator effect, but I think it has different numbers from the Squid.
