A retunable (xenharmonic) small synthesizer built in Blocks.
A small synthesizer incorporating the new MicroTuner block (that I had some design input on.) I've become quite bored of the traditional 12-tone universe and wanted an easy to use tool for exploring other tonalities. Since it is only a "equal division" tuning block, various other temperaments (just, etc.) will have to wait but there is quite a bit to explore here. It is also an exercise in building small, but powerful, tools for myself. I used mostly the MiniBlocks library except when I needed slightly bigger mixers. The initial patches reflect the kind of music I create (generally ambient, dark ambient, and experimental.) I like the idea of small, multiple purpose, tools that might be used in a performance situation (although I'm not to that point yet.)
An example piece is here: www.soundcloud.com/glenn-sogge/fancies-of-flight
A couple of other composers and sound designers are playing with MiniXen now. I hope to release v1.1 with some expanded patch connections and more sounds.
