DESCRIPTION

Do you like the sound of raw un-polished oscillators belching and blurping strait out of the mixer, for some things, and have an arsenal of side-chain compressors, filters, and EQ's that you would use to drop any track into a mix anyway?

if so, the Trident RG-1 might be your go to in such the case that you want a tool for a domineering mono-synth line...

the outputs are taken directly from the stereo VCO mixer....No Filter, or any other signal processing....the 3-phase, ( 120 degrees out ) VCO Panner just stirs up the oscillators on their way out...

or, all the "effects" are modulation generated..

Revision List:

v1.0 was released without my realizing that it was possible to patch a feedback loop between 3 LFOs in any group that resulted in a crash. ( people with v1.0 are advised to update )

v1.0.3 was a quick fix to the aforementioned problem, and v1.0.9 enter the FXM Mod, but also was a scramble to try to add patch options that was still yet not entirely stable, ( people with both v1.0.3 and v1.0.9 are advised to update )

v1.1.0 included a PDF manual that explained the problem...this gave me time to work on the problem, but the problem was still there... and an Updated PDF is now issued with each update.
people with v1.1.0 are also advised to update...

v1.1.2 ..all the original patch options are back in place, it has 10 Snaps, and a revised PDF Manual....and it runs fairly solid. but still has rampant GREs ( 3 days, and 170 downloads latter. )

v1.1.5 :
Left/ Right soft limiters + 4-pole all pass protection, scaled up the hard wire sends by 50%, did a little work on the oscillators, refined the snaps, and of course a new PDF Manual.

v1.1.7; now won't lock up on a GRE event, and all that is necessary, if that occurs, is to switch snapshots.. i also corrected a patch error with the noise oscillator, did some justice to the snap title Lava Bass, and the PDF Manual is much better than previously.

v1.1.8 still struggling with eliminating the GREs, might be better.

the battle with the GRE was so horrible i lost track of things here.

anyway, v1.2.3 is solid, and doesn't experience GREs....or it's finally there, and i am not planning anymore updates this year.

There are 30 snaps for you in your forum thread. They sounds better in a 6 voice version with unison settings. --- https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/captains-log-star-date-1-2-2.337497/

Please STOP DOWNLOADING UNTIL I GET THIS DONE. v1.2.2 is also stable, has the control rages fixed, and the LFOs are re-scaled to those changes....you can make patches with 1.2.2 now and they will save to later versions

v1.1.7 it won't freeze on a GRE anymore, if it happens you can just switch snapshots and it stops...also i found an error in the noise oscillator patch which has been corrected, and the Snapshot Lava Bass is a much better Bass Snap, and a better PDF Manual, as well.

v1.1.5 includes my first core cell. just two library compressors i modified into soft limiters, and two 4-pole all pass filters i made from library butterworths...the soft limiters allowed me to scale up the hardwired sends by 50%, and i did a little detail oscillator work and refined the Snaps.

v 1.1.0 is up....PLEASE READ PDF MANUAL. ( it's fall, and i don't have allot of time to work on this ) but the plan is to work up a logic circuit for the INT LFO patching, as well as per send LFO soft limiters for v1.1.2

the RG-1 a work in progress, Greg: so check for revised versions when you stop in at the Library...so one vote for a parameter randomizer...ok...but i need to prioritize my revision work, so it may be awhile....Thanks.

oops, I'm so sorry. I reloaded and it does make sound now in stand alone!

o wait, I can save presets, but I can't randomize parameters for some reason. And for me, it makes no sound in stand alone, but works in my DAW.

To me this has potential! I do wish it was incapsulated into an instrument so I can save and randomize presets.

New Snaps and PDF manual coming soon....sorry about the initial bugs, and now alternately, the lack of spaps with the v1.0.9 update

Ok...v1.0.9 is pretty solid.....recommended to toss v1.0, & v1.0.3 for the updated version with improved patch performance, and the finished oscillator mods with the FAT / FXM personality disorder button.

AGAIN, people with v1.0 are advised to update, or leave One LFO routeing in each of the tree groups OFF....i will update again as soon as i come up with a more elegant solution.

Sorry....there was a cross feedback modulation routeing problem with any of the 3 LFOs of any group...v1.0.3 addresses that problem with a quick yanking of the wires from LFO 2,5,and 8's modulation routeing selectors......people with v1.0 are advised to update, or leave one LFO routeing in each of the tree groups off.

no ripping on my synth by anyone that hasn't run it through it's paces yet, ( i really don't think it needs a filter, and you probably wont either once you get it )...otherwise, feedback appreciated....Thanks.
