I'm an engineer, not a musician, so most (all?) of my ensembles get started with some technical idea that I want to try out. Then I try to make it musical...

But this raises another question for me. Do you start off with technical ideas + questions in mind or do you start off with for instance the musical concept..... say milk whirrling through a trumpet with mice crawling though it?

David, I was trying an experiment (as most of my ensembles are) to see if I could get a nice sounding drone using a string coupled sine oscillators. The challenge was in getting a subtle modulation so that it didn't descend into chaos, as coupled oscillators are wont to do.

This is a really rare thing in the library..... something you can download, open and enjoy straight away without lifting a single finger. You don't even have to change the preset(i like the clicks). James, can you tell me what your main intentions were behind this soundscape?

Beautiful tones and very evocative. I really like these sort of "melodious" tone generators.

I like it this sonic world, with Aks de Zootook, it's better ensemble for me. As Jim Bryan, it's remind to me Echoes and the climax of Ummagumma of Pink Floyd. Great really. Sorry for my bad english.

Agreed. One of the best ensembles in the library. Select snapshot 9 and turn off the clicks; it's Pink Floyd's "Echoes"! -HMT

James, I love this. The drones are exquisite, but I don't see the need for the clicks at all. That's just my taste. Please make more stuff like this!

OK, I added muting of the clicks/drone. Click on the right hand side of the upper green bar to turn on the drone, left hand side to mute it. Likewise, click on the right hand side of the lower green bar to turn on the clicks and left hand side to mute.

Hey James, is there any way that a volume or on/off toggle for the clicks can be placed in the ensemble? I can do it myself if you tell me where to look as I'm not seeing it very clearly myself. This is an amazing little drone instrument.
