DESCRIPTION

Vector Loop is my second upload based on the wonderful new Glex corecell in Reaktor 5.1, by Tim Exile. ive found it to be endlessly stimulating and is really great for making interesting effects in the vein of Abletons "Beat Repeat".

the idea of this ensemble is 4 loopers, with a large Vector control in the center to select which is active. the unactive ones are then in record mode, waiting to be re-triggered. the Vector, as well as the 4 loop/spped and filter cutoff/resonance XYs are recordable, and these are the main sequencers used for giving the sound some serious animation.

to learn this better, please read the instrument and panel-controls tool-tips. sorry about the lack of snaps, im working on something else at the moment, and as usual, i just want to get this off my chest.

one important note, whenever starting the sequencer from any point, the loopers will be muted for one bar, to allow some audio to be recorded by the loopers. therefore, it is recommended to reset the sequencer after stopping the clock, whenever possible.

one more thing, the master section smoother says it affects the XY vector and spatializer, really it only affects the spatializer, sorry for this.

note that i included an .ism version, for easy integration in an existing ensemble. in this case, the int switch is used to select which input is used, instead of whether the stereo input or sampler is used.

as always, thanks for the support, and above all, have fun!

Love this. Cool sounds! Is there a way to use this for non loop material - just as a plug-in effect for an audio track?

phil, i know what you mean about the scene approach, i usually prefer that, but i figured that there were so few knobs that snaps wouldnt hurt. plus, they are easier for most to use.

beeeautiful - saying that this is like the beat repeat is a bit of an understatement though! I also love the recording x/ys.

yep another great upload. daniel, for me it would be nice to have the XY recordings as saved "patterns" that don't rely on saved snaps. meaning a separate knob could select different saved recordings rather than having to change the snap memory to play different recorded movements. hope i am making myself clear? it is just an idea. of course it is brilliant as it is

Goodness! Again this is utterly brilliant! I can only say thanks for sharing these fine ensembles. These 2 new uploads of yours are the best ens I've ever found in the library!
