DESCRIPTION

Updated with the g-Transcoder 1.1a (Reaktor 5.9.x compatible) recovery file
uploaded by "Instrumental Native"/Sebastian (thanks)
-------------------------------

(update of 'Helioclast')

New in v1.1 : auto learning keyboard split option
-------------------------------

uses a (low-res) human auditory model to provide some unique features :

formant shifting / formant reconstruction for *polyphonic* input, spectral warping, reharmonizing, freezing, and pitch shifting of course
the " spectral delay " part is actually just a freezing/melting effect, I just couldn't resist to put this phrase into the description

it's running realtime, but introduces some latency (anavoidable by the laws of physics) - I think a non-realtime, sequenced version would be more useful

I wish I had some idea how to work this thing... "load a file into the standard player box..." ok, well where the heck is the standard player box?

This is seriously the coolest sounding effect I've heard in ages. The freeze effect is gorgeous!

Whoops. Let me take part of that back. It CAN receive "live" input. I just connected Acoustring's audio outputs to it, and I'm hearing very interesting things! Apologies for my hasty previous post. Paul

Thank you for the interesting instrument. I have one suggestion: add a LFO to modulate the "basilar shift" curve itself, as the "phasing" effect that you get from the interaction of the index pointer AND the shifting of the curve itself is most interesting! Other than that my only comments would be: better LFO implementation overall and the possibility of receiving direct live input. Unfortunately I don't know how to program in Reaktor otherwise I'd love to try Ciao Paul

On pc 5.9.2 ens starts in a normal way. No problems!

New version 1.1a should not present "not a valid reaktor file" error. Checked under Reaktor 5.8.x and 5.9.x

Might be useful if there were ANY documentation about what it does and what the controls mean.

Gabriel, when I begin with Reaktor I look for amazing Granular Transformer and a prog which is controlled by MIDI and worked on audio files.
