Instrument Sampler

DESCRIPTION

Sorry for my Englich (Frenchman).

Its my second instrument after 'Space Modulator' (synthesizer experimental). I created 'Sample Modulator A' with a few basics modules of 'Metaphysical Functions'. I took the little sampler with the automatic amplitude and speed, plus the automatic filter, reverb and pitch for modulate one first sample. After y multiplicated this sampler by 5. I completed with 2 effects and one global amplitude for you have a choice between a smooth atmosphere or stronger.

Its not easy to create a complexe sampler and at the same time check the charge of CPU and the global pound. I test many variations of my sampler; with 4,5,6,8 readers of samples and y decided to use 5 (55% CPU on my system). I am not a expert for warrant its oké on your system.

The map (first) contain 85 samples come from my collection of personals creations (many thousands). My map make 1.6 GO (1 GO when compress with 7 zip). Its too much heavy for transfert with my instrument on this forum. You can download this map on my Site. For my adress and proceeding; you download my intrument, open, click on the general panel, info and you have all informations very simples for assembly. Its my first sampler. If you have any problem for activate, send me a message.

I love the instrument playing itself the subtle ambience music wich evolute on a most long period. I am not interesting by a complexe transformation of my originals samples but just a basics modulations for the sounds that comes more alive. I make a choice of very simples sounds for you have the possibility to create your completes personals atmospheres or your backgrounds for being useful with a more melodic music.

Sample Modulator come with 60 snapshots on the topic of the traveller. Take the time to listen the complexe structure of each.

I prepare a second bank of samples with snapshots who y will incorporate inside another Sample Modulator.

Good trip and enjoy!

You need to load a sample map for each module!

Only the third sample slot seems to work. Anyone experiencing the same thing? How do I get the others to play samples?

Can I offer some advice here, after working out various things. Firstly, create your own sample maps, you'll need a separate sample map for each of the 5 players. Use this http://relivethefuture.com/choronzon/sample-map-builder-2/ To build your maps, then add them into the ensemble. In the sample editor highlight all the samples (CTRL A) then click the loop button to the right to make sure they all loop (if they aren't already). Then you should be good to go :)

Thanks for a simply fantastic soundscape generator! The design, map, everything truly is a gift. As before with your Space Modulator, another high benchmark for Reaktor generational design. 2 for 2!

Sorry Paul. I am on PC and y have no competence for to answer you (question on web). IMPORTANT for other users. Each time you open my intrument you click first time on the first snapshot empty call 'open and close' after you click on any snap and all faders, with the button is blue, are activates; if not you have obligation activate fader one by one (close/open). If you create your personnal bank thinking to create one snap with all buttons to off. This information and others are on the left panel when you click on the panel instrument and 'info'. Many people dont go read that (me the first). Colin Christian

The idea of my intrument is very simple but very effective. It possible create simple living sound or very complex. You have the possility make a many copy of my original empty and put a different personals bank of samples for each. One trick that y make for my map its y cut the length of my originals samples and drop the volume for put more sounds. The multiplication of the same map inside the 5 samplers its not ridiculous. The instrument recognize for just one (lighter) and you can use the same sample with different speed, pitch, filter and amplitude for a final sound very rich. Many of my snapshots use that. One other trick. When you record the mouvement of a fader, you have a few time if you move continualy the fader(about 30 sec.) but if you stop and continous to press, the time is record but he dont take a charge then you prolong the time recording (3 min. and more).Important to have a good finger for waiting. The best, you record your basics personals mouvements, and preserve for many snapshots. Colin Chabot

Bonjour Paul! For the people no habitude with sampler (me too y learn each day). You go on my Site (www.music-close-to-silence.com) and at your write you click on 'Partenaires' the last word in bottom, a new page open and you click on 'Reaktor: Map for Sample modulator A', you download the map and after open with 7 zip (software free on web). When you open my instrument you click 2 time on the first rectangle sample view and the map editor appair in bottom; you click on 'Edit' after 'Load map' a window appair; you looking for my map where you put in your ordi. and you load. The first load take more long time; after you repeat the same for the 4 other samples views. Important; you load the same map for the 5 editors if not you overload.
