This edited version of Echo Grease changes the feedback engine so that repeated delays do not change or degenerate. It is for those times when you don't want analog modelling, or tape saturation, or warm filtering.

Echo Grease Clinical Edit produces digital clarity, but still allows you to control the delay time by altering the clock rate of the delay line rather than the length of it (the normal/traditional approach).

The changes mean that the read control is integer based and won't work well as an interactive control. This means that there is little point in having two taps, and it drastically limits operation as a chorus/flanger unit.

That said, the fact that the feedback is non-lossy means that you can use this unit in ways that don't make sense for Echo Grease.

version 1.1 fixes some aliasing type noise that was occurring with the rate knob at about 2'o'clock
