DESCRIPTION

v2:
1. Recoded the amplitude LFO in core to get 64-bit frequency values that synced correctly. (They got out of sync in v1.)
2. Added cycle bar to show where harmonicSeries is in the main cycle.
3. Made panning opposite for odd/even harmonics (odd goes left right left right, even goes right left right left) to balance the stereo field.

A one-trick pony, but a pretty good trick: harmonicSeries generates a set of up to 64 harmonics, each of which performs its own cycle (amplitude, panning) within the overarching cycle of the fundamental.

Thus the form of the cycles (within cycle (within cycles)) mirrors the form of the harmonic series itself.

Mouse over INSTRUCTIONS for performance instructions.

Enjoy! :-)

if I use values less than 21 for humHarmonics, I get an audible clicking sound.

New version up, changes to the left under DESCRIPTION. The individual harmonics in v1 got out of sync because the frequencies of the amplitude LFO were sooooooooooooo slow that primary couldn't handle it. So I recoded it in core using 64-bit values, and it works great!

Bart, you can turn off stereo panning with sTereo. Also ... I've been working on a version with better panning, alternating harmonics to go left -> right and right -> left so that both channels end up balanced. :-)

Not sure if the 0/1 -> -1/1 converter in the stereo pan setup is an opportune choice. I would leave it out for a more balanced L/R sound, but otherwise nicely crafted and much appreciated! (I love these kinds of things)

Not Forbidden Planet, but still very nicely done.
