Reading the Wiki article on Klein Bottles, I saw the math for the 4D flat torus model and thought that it would probably make some interesting noises built out in Reaktor. Here it is.

Version 0.6:

Still saving to get R6 and make the core into a block. In the meantime I've added Pulse/PWM and a few new snaps. Cleanups and other tweaks.

Version 0.4:
Moved most of the logic into the Core cell, in preparation to make the Core cell a Block (when I can save up the money to get R6). This saves quite a bit of CPU.

Added the ability to use my breath controller to control the various envelopes (CC2 button).

Reduced the pair of scopes to a single one, but you can now select all possible modes (XY, XZ, XW, YZ, YW, ZW and every inversion thereof).

This will probably be the last version before I convert it to a block, since I really like the idea of using better osc, env and fx than what I've rolled here.

Now to save up for R6.

Version 0.3: turned from an experiment into an instrument. Mod-wheel and pitch-bend support, per operator (what do we call these?) effects, more snapshots, and general improvements. Plus a bit of UI for those who care about such things.

Makes good noise!

For the Klein Bottle logic as a block, see: http://www.native-instruments.com/en/reaktor-community/reaktor-user-library/entry/show/9951/

Kudos. Lots of patches and you're one of the few who programs the Mod Wheel into the patches. Will get a lot of use out of this one!

@ Sam Mover: Fantastic work. Which parts were this synth? I can guess one or two, but I'm curious.

Sorry for the quick update from 0.3 to 0.3a, I figured out how to make a good sounding stereo spread for this one. It took many of the snapshots to a whole new level and I just had to share.

Finding this one to be quite useful and surprising. Glad to see some continued development! Thanks for sharing!

@ Paul Weber: Check the scaling on those patches. I'm just using the stock AR envelope at the moment; nothing fancy or unusual going on there. Once I figure out what is actually needed I'll either build my own envelope system or tweak something to be more appropriate. Because of the way the math works, there can be a lot of noise if the release is set too low or the attack is too quick, especially with Saw waves. Much more work is needed to make this properly usable.

Very interesting indeed! It seems that on some pathces the Release is very long even if the knob is set relatively low. Is this done on purpose?
